PROVENANCE

Did you know?

Between 80 and 100% of every English breakfast tea ever brewed is Assam tea — grown in the lush river valleys of Northeast India, plucked by hand, and shipped to the world. Yet most people have never heard of Assam. They've never tasted it on its own. They've never known where their morning ritual really comes from.

Patkai is here to change that.

We bring you Assam tea — and the wider flavours, herbs, and traditions of Northeast India — as they were always meant to be experienced. Whole leaf. Unhurried. Full of provenance.

The finest tea from one of the world's great origins — finally, under its own name.

HERITAGE & DESIGN: OUR BRAND STORY

A design rooted in living heritage

Every Patkai tin carries the Kingkhap motif — a pattern woven into the traditional silk of Assamese women's dress, the Mekhela Chador, for generations. It is one of the most cherished symbols of the region's textile heritage.

We have reimagined it — weaving the animals of Northeast India into its form. Each design, a quiet tribute to the biodiversity of the land from which our teas come from.

The packaging is not decoration. It is the story.

BRAND PURPOSE - CARRIED QUIETLY

Profit with purpose, worn lightly

A portion of our profits supports conservation efforts in Assam and Northeast India — the land that gives us everything we make. We don't make a performance of it. We simply believe that a business which takes from a place has a responsibility to give back to it.

"Together, we can create a better world — one cup at a time."
